‘Glacial Erratic’ is the first EP to be released from New Pagans, and the first time their music has taken physical form. This collection of songs are emblems of the music New Pagans have made over the last few years, and marks the onset of new material in 2020.
Parts of ‘Glacial Erratic’ were recorded at Analogue Catalogue with Julie McLarnon, straight to tape, predominantly using technology from 1976 – 1986. This provided the band with the necessary limitations that force experimentation and innovation. The rest of the EP was recorded by the band themselves in their rehearsal space, and in Cahir’s kitchen.

indie rock with only a dash of post-punk. What makes it stand out is not just the catchy and sticky post-punk influences or the outstanding vocals, but also the message. dcdirkzwager

Why do I love this record? it has a haunting sound with a destination. The vocals are very sweet and the riffs hook you in . The songs have a great momentem they begin at once place then end some other place and don't go in a circle . if that makes sense? jimmyfuc
Aussie upstarts juxtapose tightly-wound post punk songwriting with nuanced production, jangling choruses, and heady jams. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 29, 2023
